It’s that time of the month again! We’re shining a light on some of our fundraisers from April!

Isle of Wight Ultra Marathon Challenge

Lolly and her friend Elaine ran the Isle of Wight Ultra Marathon – a challenge where they ran 106KM over 2 days! They chose to run for 2 charities close to their hearts, St. Michael’s Hospice and Irish charity Cork ARC, due to both having family members currently living with cancer. Mark, one of our Trustees, also took part in the epic challenge, here’s a picture of him during the event!

Shalden Masonic Lodge

Shalden Masonic Lodge’s Worshipful Master, Jack Armistead, nominated St. Michael’s Hospice as his chosen charity to raise funds for throughout 2022 and recently popped into the Hospice to give us another cheque to complete their years fundraising efforts. From raffles to dinner donations, they raised an incredible £1,472.00 for the Hospice!

London Marathon

The London Marathon was back in full swing this year, with crowds out in the massive to cheer runners along the 26 mile route. Hospice supporters Alex Hall, Kathryn Allaway, Katrina Wheeler and Jack Clarke all used their London Marathon Ballot Places this year to raise funds for the Hospice, collectively raising over £4,600!

Bluebell Open Gardens

Each year the wonderful people of Steventon come together to organise a beautiful open garden and bluebell walk. Visitors are taken on a historic walking tour through the beautiful bluebell woods, before reaching the open garden where there are lots of lovely stalls, including teas & coffees, plants, raffles and of course cream teas!
