Health Insurance

If you have Health Insurance, you may be able to claim for the care we’re providing.

All our services are free of charge for our patients and their families. But, did you know that if you have private Health Insurance, you may be able to claim – meaning we can care for more people who need us?

We’re an independent charity, and only receive 16% statutory funding. This means we need to raise £14,000 a day to provide our care, so every pound really does make a huge difference to us.

You might have private Health Insurance through work or may have taken it out yourself, however you’ve got insurance, your claim could help us care for more people who need us.

What do I need to do?

If you have private health insurance then please let us know by filling in your details on the form below and submitting it – this will be sent to our Supporter Care Team at St. Michael’s Hospice.

How much will St. Michael’s receive?

This depends on the type of policy you have and who your insurer is. Some insurers specifically exclude hospice care. Whatever the result we will let you know the response from your insurance company.

What happens next?

We will contact your insurer and ask for a donation in support of the care the hospice has provided. You need do nothing more.

Which insurance companies are likely to donate?

Recent research by Hospice UK lists the following insurance providers as supportive to hospices:

  • Aviva
  • Axa PPP
  • Bupa
  • CS Healthcare
  • General & Medical
  • Vitality
  • SAGA
  • Simply Health
  • WPA
  • BHSF
  • HSF

We really appreciate your help.
