Read our November fundraising spotlight! As we enter the festive season, our fundraisers have started to get very creative with Christmas ideas and generously donated their time and efforts to support our Hospice! Below are just some of the amazing fundraisers that took place during November – thank you and well done to everyone who raised vital funds for our patients!

Resurrection Furniture

Alton based Charity Furniture Shop, Resurrection Furniture donated £5,000 to St. Michael’s Hospice.

Resurrection Furniture are an Alton based Christian charity supporting a wide range of local charities and causes. They have a furniture shop on the High Street in Alton, and all products that they sell have been kindly donated to them, with the proceeds then being donated back to local causes. They have a wide range of furniture, ornaments, sort furnishings, bric a brac and many other pre-loved items.

Some of the pieces that are donated have been loved and well used, and some need a bit of TLC. Their restoration team spend hours bringing furniture back to their original glory before putting it on the shop floor to find a new home.

We are so grateful for the support of Resurrection Furniture, their donation has been put towards helping us care for our patients in the Alton area, and will help us to continue to be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.

Co-Op Members

Co-Op Members across our local area have been generously donating via their membership every time they shop at the Co-Op. The membership ran from Oct 2022 – Oct 2023 and in total they have raised £2,778.00 for the Hospice! The money is being used to fund a table top garden at the Hospice for our patients and their families to enjoy. We hope to have the table top garden in place and ready for use in 2024.

Hospice Aid UK

We are incredibly grateful to Hospice Aid UK for their generous grant towards our essential services. As a charity that heavily relies on the support and kindness of our community to raise 84% of our funding requirements, we cannot express our gratitude enough to charitable trusts and foundations for helping us continue to support our community, especially during these challenging times.
