Our supporters proved once again that it’s not about having time – it’s about having heart.
This October, our dedicated supporters said, ‘Don’t sweat it!’ and took on fundraising in every form, from running to singing and so much more. Their dedication never goes unseen, and we can never thank them enough for the stride, heart, and time they give so generously.
Your support truly makes a difference to the quality of care we can provide for people across North Hampshire when they need it most.

“I took part in the St. Michael’s Hospice Moonlight Walk, Basingstoke 10k and the Great South Run. It was tough going but I am proud of what I achieved and the £3240 I raised for the Hospice to say thank you for caring for my sister Hannah.”
Emma Forbes
- Not to mention… Andy, Jacob, James, Mike, Seb, Stefan and Rich – aka The Dad Bods raised (£2,981) as a group!

“Running the Basingstoke Half-Marathon in memory of Ash Davis was a special and emotional experience for all of us. After witnessing Ash bravely battle his aggressive illness until the very end, I was grateful that the Dads in our NCT group were able to participate in a challenge to raise funds for the hospice. This support will help other families facing difficult times find comfort and dignity through the care that SMH provides. We were cheered across the finish line by Ash’s widow, Paula, and his two-year-old son, Alfie.”

- On the 4 and 11 October, The Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane ran two main events in October, his Variety Show (Saturday 4 October) and his Civic Service (Saturday 11 October) collectively raising £1,490 for both his charities.

“The variety show was a wonderful evening of music, magic and laughter provided by well-known performers, as well as home-grown talent. The evening raised important funds for my Charity Appeal – including St Michael’s Hospice – and my heartfelt thanks to the volunteers from the hospice who helped at The Anvil during the evening – we couldn’t have done it without you!”
