August was a wonderful month for our fantastic community who were fundraising in aid of us! 

Thank you to everyone who fundraised and donated – we simply couldn’t provide our care without your support.

Community Fundraising

  • Joe Quince and his team took on a 240km run and cycle from Galway to Dublin raising £6,200 and still rising!
  • Mark Dolby took on the Round the Rock Ultra Marathon raising £640
  • Keith Brown annual Fishing Tournament raised £2,500
  • Adam Gallagher did the Dorney Lake Marathon raising £2,590

  • Alton Beer Festival awarded a grant of £1,250
  • Youth Impact held a quiz with a very short timescale to organise raising £157.92
  • Pauline Gentry held a evening drinks fundraiser raising £428.50
  • Ben Jackson, Council of Ben’s Skydive – raised £320 through his tandem skydive: https://www.thecouncilofbens.com/its-raining-ben
  • Sarah Gilliver, London Summer Walk raised over £500 through taking part in the London Summer Walk over the bank holiday walking a marathon in aid of St. Michael’s Hospice
  • The Mill House in Odiham held a Duck Race on the August Bank Holiday, raising £1,925

Corporate Support

  • Asset Finance Professionals Association – raised £10k at their Summer Drinks for St. Michael’s Hospice.

  • TPT Fire Maintenance donated a race at Newbury Racecourse in aid of us. Volunteers and staff at the Hospice were invited to attend the races and a night of music featuring Bjorn Again. Deputy CEO, Lorraine Pink, awarded the winners trophy to the jockey and judged best dressed competition.

  • Hampshire Circle (Hampshire Clinic) – raised over £500 for the Hospice from their Summer Fair
