January: Stepping into 2026 Together

As we step into 2026, the New Year brings a renewed sense of community, hope and generosity. January is a month for fresh starts, and thanks to the amazing support of our local community, we begin the year feeling inspired!

Over the festive period and into the New Year, your kindness has truly made a difference. From fundraising events to cheque presentations, your continued support enables us to provide the highest quality of care to those who need it most.

With the year ahead full of possibility, we’re thrilled to share some of the special moments that have already made 2026 a wonderful start.

Here are a few highlights that have set 2026 off…

Top 3 highlights: New year, higher spirits!

 

A Brimpton Murder Mystery…

  • On 16 and 17 January, Murder Mystery Evening took place in Brimpton, raising an incredible £4,025.

Over 500 Trees and £11,300 proudly raised!

On 8, 9 and 10 January, our Christmas Tree collection collected over 500 trees and raised £11,300! A special shout out to the fabulous teams who are also our corporate supporters:

  • Entrepreneurs Hub, Bunzl, EMCOR, Carson & Hughes, Epitome, Greenhouse Graphics, RW Armstrong, and Kier.

Community Fundraising

  • On 11 January, Hatch Warren Runners – Beat the Blues raised an amazing £610! Teamwork makes the dream work!

  • On 16 January, a Sponsored Wax took place by Darren Jones.

We also had Cheque Presentations – This month our fundraising team has been attending cheque presentations from events in December:

  • Costello School raised £715.50 from a non-school uniform day

  • Basingstoke Radio raised £768 from a music gig at the Irish Centre

  • Who said fundraising couldn’t be fun? Oakley Bowling club raised £1,383.00 throughout the year in aid of us

  • Weybrook Park Golf Club raised £22,235.92 throughout the year, what an incredible amount – we are truly thankful for our supporters.

Corporate Support

Our corporate team have also been on the move presenting cheques with our dedicated supporters:

  • On 13 January, a cheque presentation took place with STI Hook for raising £2466.20 at their Christmas raffle, this was achieved thanks to being match funded by their senior management.

  • On 14 January, we had another cheque presentation from RHB Partnership with the end of their charity of the year total – £1400. The fabulous team at RHB have also taken part in the Big Wheel, Golf Day, as well as a Christmas jumper day!

  • On 26 January, we had our final cheque presentation from Blatchford, raising £1056 for their Christmas raffle – this is double of what they collected in 2024!
