Get motivated and moving in March in support of your local Hospice!
Sometimes we all need a bit of encouragement to get active, especially when it’s cold and raining outside! We all like to keep active in different ways and with Get Moving in March, you can tailor your goal to make it achievable for you personally. Once you have registered, we will send you a progress tracker so you can see what you’ve achieved throughout the month!
Pick from one of our suggestions below or create your own target to complete throughout the month.
- Daily 30 minute walk
- Complete 3 workouts a week
- Set a total distance to run during March
- Complete 15 minutes of Yoga every morning
- Take part in an our weekly online classes (details below!)
We would love to see children getting involved in Get Moving in March too! Why not set them a scooter or cycling challenge, or take part in PE with Joe three times a week? All children can sign up for free with a paying adult!
We want to see the local community coming together, getting active and moving this March to raise funds for St. Michael’s Hospice. Last year we cared for over 330 new patients and their families at the Hospice and in patients homes, your support can help us to continue to deliver our specialist care, when it is needed most.
When completing any activities outdoors, we kindly ask that you follow the current UK Government guidelines on social distancing.

Take part in our online classes!
As part of Get Moving in March we have teamed up with Fonseca Fitness, where Farah Fonseca will be running a live 30 minute workout on Zoom for all participants every Thursday evening at 19:00. This is included in your sign up fee and each week we will email you the unique zoom link to take part in the class. No equipment is needed for these sessions, just ensure you have enough space to move around and if you have a mat, even better!
The classes will be a mixture of different exercises, including cardio and strength training and will be suitable for all fitness abilities. Farah started Fonseca Fitness in 2013 and since then has been empowering women with her weekly bootcamp sessions, making them stronger, fitter and building a brilliant sense of community among her members.
- Online classes are included in your sign-up fee
- All children can sign up for free with a paying adult!
- At the end of the month you will receive a digital certificate
- You have the option of purchasing branded Hospice t-shirts and running vests at the checkout

Anyone that raises £100 or more in sponsorship will receive a free Hospice t-shirt (stock levels allowing)!
