Enjoy a spectacular summer’s day cycling, taking in the views of the local picturesque villages and stunning Hampshire countryside to raise funds for your local charity. Beginning at our BRAND NEW LOCATION for 2020… War Memorial Park, you can choose to cycle one of our 4 NEW ROUTES including:

  • 80 Mile Route: a classic route for experienced cyclists embracing pace, climbing and endurance skills to challenge and bring success at the end of your ride. Opportunity to seek gold, silver or bronze standards. View the 80 mile route and download the GPX file.
  • 48 Mile Route: ideally suited to club riders and social cyclists looking to challenge themselves and tackle classic climbs through the Hampshire countryside. View the 48 mile route and download the GPX file.
  • 28 Mile Route: a carefully designed ride that will suit new and social cyclists who wish to be more adventurous on a brand-new route. View the 28 mile route and download the GPX file.
  • 8 Mile Route: a gentle ride for beginners starting out on the roads to gain confidence and experience on a well signposted route. View the 8 mile route here.

Please note, that by signing up to the 80 mile route, you confirm that you will be able to cycle a minimum of 12 mph average and complete the ride returning to War Memorial Park by 17.15. If you do not reach mile 21 by 11.15 you will be redirected onto the 48 mile.

All routes have bike support, refreshment stops (excluding 8 mile), medal upon completion, medical cover, advanced route assistance (motorbikes and 4x4), safety marshals on route and chip timing with results will be published after the ride is complete.

Free parking is available at Old Common Car Park (off London Road) and a 5 minute walk away from the main arena. Toilets and refreshments will be on site; however, we are unable to provide changing facilities.

This year we are proud to announce that we are working in partnership with British Cycling!

This year it will cost over £5million to operate the Hospice and provide our services to our local community, with around 16% funding from the North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group.  The remaining £4.2million comes from the kind donations made by people like you.

Therefore, you may wish to use this opportunity to raise extra funds for St. Michael’s Hospice by raising sponsorship from family, friends, work colleagues and neighbours. Although we understand raising sponsorship can be difficult, if you are able to, this makes a huge difference to us as 50% of the income generated from this event is generated through participant sponsorship.

On behalf of all our patients, their families and the dedicated staff and volunteers at the Hospice, thank you for your support.
