Store Manager (South Ham)
- Salary: £25,319 FTE (£20,255 PTE)
- Hours: 30 hours / 37.5 hours (working 4/5days out of 6, this will include weekends and bank holidays)
About the role
What are we looking for?
An exciting retail job opportunity within our South Ham store – this would suit a dedicated, reliable and hard-working person. Your excellent interpersonal skills are needed to provide a first-class
customer service to a wide range of donating and buying customers. Though previous experience in retail is desirable, a positive can-do attitude and the ability to learn things quickly are just as
important.
Ideally you will have a proven retail experience and the passion and drive that is required to lead this store successfully.
You will enjoy developing innovative ideas to improve sales and your organisational skills will make sure that the shop and the back areas are always presented at its best.
You will communicate with colleagues, volunteers and customers in a friendly, helpful, respectful and confident manner that promotes a relaxed and welcoming environment.
The successful applicant will manage an Assistant Store Manager as well as a dedicated team of volunteers.
All employees are encouraged to develop their skills with training opportunities and support given.

St. Michael’s Hospice is a registered charity providing specialist palliative and end of life care services since 1992, for the people of North Hampshire. We are dedicated to providing care to people throughout North Hampshire who are affected by life limiting illness to attain the highest possible quality of life by providing a choice of specialist care and support.
As a charity, we depend on the kindness and support of our local community to continue offering our services free of charge. This care is made possible by supporters donating, taking part in fundraising events and activities, playing our lottery, shopping in our retail outlets, leaving gifts in their Wills or giving freely of their time to volunteer.
