- Salary: Up to £26,077 dependent on experience
- Hours: Permanent -full time, 37.5 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Assistant to join our St. Michael’s Hospice Fundraising team.
About St. Michael’s Hospice (North Hampshire)
St. Michael’s Hospice (North Hampshire) is a registered charity and provides support to people diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. It is a Hospice for adults providing invaluable palliative and end-of-life care services in North Hampshire, offering comfort, support, and dignity to those facing life’s most challenging moments.
As a charity, we depend on the kindness and support of our local community to continue offering our services free of charge. It may come as a surprise, but only 16% of our funding comes from the government. End-of-life care is an essential service, not a luxury, yet it is not funded like other care services. To keep the Hospice’s services running, we need raise an additional £14,500 every day.
The role
As a Fundraising Assistant within our Community Engagement Team, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our Hospice events, community fundraisers, and corporate partnerships. You’ll be:
- The Event Extraordinaire – Ensure our fundraising events are a huge success by supporting with planning, logistics, and on-the-day operations.
- The Relationship Builder – Connect with fundraisers, corporate partners, and community groups, making sure they have a memorable and rewarding experience.
- The Behind-the-Scenes Hero – From data management to volunteer coordination, your organisational skills will help our fundraising efforts run like clockwork.
No two days will be the same with this role! Evening and weekend work will be expected with advance notice.
About You – What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s excited about variety and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with customers or supporters in a service or care setting.
- Be a confident, clear communicator who can engage with all kinds of people.
- Be hands-on and versatile—one day you’ll be setting up gazebos, and the next, you’ll be making important calls.
- Be able to take initiative and work independently.
