Our Retail Division

Update: August 3, 2020

Our Donation Center is now open and accepting donations from Monday-Friday, 9am - 3pm. The centre has been designed for it to be safe, quick and easy for you to pass on your donation. It is located behind the Furniture Store and has its own parking bays, please don't park in the furniture store parking bays. A map is available here and there are further details about the centre at the bottom of this page.

Our stores at Brighton Hill, Chineham, Four Marks, South Ham, Overton and Tadley are open Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 4pm. More details on each shop, including restrictions around the time donations can be made, can be found at the bottom of this page.

Furniture Store collections and donations. We can now resume delivery of purchased items and collection of donated items. However safety guidelines mean we cannot enter your home but are able to deliver/collect items to your garage, driveway or doorstep.

Please know that we are unable to accept everything that is offered for donation and we apologise in advance if you bring us an item, or we come to collect an item, and we are unable to accept your donation.

Hospice Shops

If you are coming in to browse the store, please follow the guidelines outside to make sure that we are able to maintain 2m self-distancing for everyone’s safety. If you are making donations and browsing, please drop your donations around the back first as they will need to be readied for quarantine.

Our retail division operates a chain of ten traditional stores and a furniture store, each supported by a full-time manager and assistant manager, as well as by help from our volunteers.

The shops are very grateful to receive donations of clean and serviceable goods as well as any old and unusable shoes and textiles which we can recycle. With ever increasing disposal costs, we are unable to accept car boot, rummage or jumble sale leftovers, or house clearances without the prior agreement of the shop manager. Existing health and safety regulations also mean that we may sometimes have to refuse goods in order to protect our staff and volunteers.

We kindly ask that you bring any donations to our stores only during opening hours (please see guide below for individual restrictions at each store). Any donations left outside of these hours are likely to be stolen or vandalised. We also ask that donations are not left at the Hospice as we do not have the facilities to deal with them there.

If you have any doubt at all about the acceptability of goods that you would like to donate, it is always very helpful if you speak to the shop manager first.

Furniture Store

Stock in our furniture store can be viewed on the Furniture Store Facebook page.

Our furniture showroom stocks a great range of quality used furniture including sofas, dining tables, bed frames and bookcases, all at fantastic prices. We can arrange delivery of purchased items through our team of retail drivers who can also schedule free furniture inspections and collections. All goods must comply with current legislation and therefore any furniture that you wish to donate will need to be inspected prior to collection or receipt.

If you have any questions, please contact the furniture store on 01256 471191 or email furniture@stmichaelshospice.org.uk.
