Care

Healthcare Professionals

St. Michael’s Hospice works very closely with healthcare professionals throughout North Hampshire to ensure that patients receive an expert and quality service whether in the Hospice, or out in the community.

By working in partnership with other healthcare professionals, St. Michael’s can provide a consistent and responsive service to patients, their families and carers. Together, we can ensure that care is individually tailored to suit patients’ circumstances and provide them with real choice about their care.

Training

All of our staff at St. Michael's Hospice undergo ongoing training to keep up-to-date with best practice and, owing to the nature of the specialist service we provide and our staff expertise, our staff teach on the NHPCS training programme.

We also have regular training sessions for medical students from Southampton University during the year and junior doctors visit the Hospice to gain experience in Palliative Care.
