Light Up A Life 2025
As we approach the festive season, many of us will be thinking of friends or loved ones who are no longer with us and reflecting on the cherished times we shared.
By supporting Light Up a Life, you can make a dedication in their memory – celebrating their life and the love they brought.
Together, we’ll join as a community united in love, remembrance, and hope while helping St. Michael’s Hospice continue to care for local families when they need it most.
Following last year’s positive feedback, our Light Up A Life event will return to St Joseph’s Church in South Ham on Sunday 7 December 2025.
To ensure everyone can take part, we’re offering two services this year:
- Service One: 3.30pm (arrivals from 2.30pm) with performances by a local school choir
- Service Two: 7pm (arrivals from 6pm) with performances by a local adult choir
Please note: All events are ticketed this year to help us manage numbers and keep everyone safe and comfortable. Any guests without a pre-booked ticket may not be admitted into the service on the day.

Your Dedication
Your dedication will be included in our Order of Service, which you can keep as a memento after the event.
Please note, dedications must be submitted by 12PM, Monday 24 November, in order to be included in our Order of Service.
You’ll also have the option to receive our 2025 Light up a Life limited edition keepsake. This year, we have chosen a robin design as they are often seen as a comforting presence, offering a sense of closeness to those who are no longer with us.
Support your local hospice
By dedicating a light, you will help families receive the care they need when they need it most and help raise the £14,500 needed each day to provide vital care for over 1,500 patients and families each year completely free of charge. With only 22% of our funding coming from the NHS, your support is vital.
Together, we can fill this festive season with light, remembering the past, supporting the present, and shining hope into the future.
Thank you for your support.
*If you wish to attend the event without making a dedication, general tickets will be released on 1 November 2025, subject to availability. Please note they will be available on a first come first serve basis. To find out more, click here.
