It’s that wonderful time of the month again when we celebrate those who’ve recently got involved and helped us with fundraising for the Hospice! This month, we’d like thank:

Chineham Arms – 90’s Karaoke Night

The Hatch Warren Runners held a 90’s Karaoke Night in February to support the Hospice in memory of their friends and fellow running club members, who recently need the use of our services. It was an amazing evening with a great turn out, everyone was dressed in 90’s outfits, including a Fred Flintstone, David Beckham and Britney Spears and they raised over £600 for the Hospice!

Tesco Hook Collection

Our lovely volunteers were collecting in Tesco in Hook in February. Footfall was low but visitors were still incredibly generous and we raised a wonderful £755.05 on the day!

Happy Feet Dance Academy – Have Yourself a Merry Little Dancemas

The staff, students and dads at Happy Feet Dance Academy chose to support St. Michael’s Hospice with their Christmas performance, Have Yourself a Merry Little Dancemas. It was a great show that showcased all the students hard work over the past 2 years, and the dads of the show took to the stage in their Christmas jumpers to raise funds for St. Michael’s Hospice. Across the 2 nights they raised a wonderful £2,657.50 for the Hospice!

Mad Hair Day

We had our popular Mad Hair Day in February, which saw students and staff turning up to school with crazy hairstyles. There were mermaid tails, unicorn horns, colour spray, glitter and even a lizard! Everyone had a great day and students outshone the adults with their creative hair styles. A huge thank you to all that took part, we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Trusts and Foundations

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the James Tudor Foundation, The Paravicini Dyer Charitable Trust, and The Arnold Clark Community Fund for their generosity and support of our hospice. Their contributions will significantly impact our various projects and essential hospice services:

The James Tudor Foundation

Thank you to The James Tudor Foundation, which will enable us to continue our Motor Neurone Disease service for almost a year. This generosity is invaluable in helping us continue this important service.

Arnold Clark Community Fund

We would also like to thank the Arnold Clark Community Fund for providing a generous grant to purchase iPads for our team members. This funding will really help with the efficiency of our team’s work.

The Paravicini Dyer Charitable Trust

We’re so grateful to The Paravicini Dyer Charitable Trust for their kindness and generous support to our hospice in covering our essential core costs to continue providing essential care and support to patients and families facing end-of-life care.
