St. Michael’s Hospice has over 100 staff and is assisted by over 700 volunteers.
Supporting St. Michael’s Hospice through school fundraising is a wonderful way for students, teachers, and parents to make a meaningful difference in our community.
Every year, schools across North Hampshire come together to raise vital funds that help us provide free, compassionate care for people with life-limiting illnesses and support for their families.
School fundraising not only helps raise essential funds for hospice care but also teaches students about community spirit, compassion, and giving back. From creative events to fun challenges, school activities can inspire generosity and teamwork while making a real impact on local families in need.
Currently 1/5 of our patients are under 65, highlighting a growing need for support for younger families. Because of this, we have invested in expanding in our childhood bereavement services including renovating one of our conservatories into a child friendly space, with books and activities focused on explaining death to children.
