Healthcare Assistant (SMH Band 2) Hospice Inpatient Unit (Maternity Cover)
- Salary: £23,875 FTE
- Hours: 12 Month FTC | 37.5 hours per week, covering a 24-hour roster period
We have an exciting opportunity for Healthcare Assistant to join our wonderful team on the Inpatient Unit for 12-month maternity cover. We are looking for a highly organised, calm and compassionate administrator who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and can confidently coordinate complex information while supporting patients, families and clinical teams. This role sits at the heart of the In-Patient Unit and requires someone who is reliable, emotionally resilient, and able to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and care.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and commercially minded Furniture Store Manager to lead one of our key retail operations. You will be a confident leader with strong people management skills, a hands-on approach, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service while maximising income to support hospice care. You will bring a balance of commercial awareness and compassion, understanding that every sale, donation, and customer interaction plays a vital role in supporting St. Michael’s Hospice. Experience in furniture retail, logistics, or large-format retail environments would be highly desirable, along with the ability to lead and inspire both staff and volunteers.

- Salary: £24,375 - £25,567 FTE (Dependant on experience)
- Hours: Permanent, 23 / 34.5 / 37.5 hours per (shifts worked over a 4-week roster period)
We are launching a new 24/7 Hospice at Home service and are recruiting to new positions within this service. The 24/7 service will offer a visiting service to patients within our catchment known to be in the last 2 weeks of life. A Registered Nurse and a Senior Healthcare Assistant will be able to visit patients in their home who meet our service criteria.
