St. Michael’s Hospice has over 100 staff and is assisted by over 700 volunteers.
We support patients who are living with progressive neurological conditions, such as, but not limited to; Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) and Huntington's Disease. We support these patients and their carers in the community or through our neuro clinic. We run this clinic every 4 months.
The clinic provides an opportunity for patients and their carers to have a review with one of our multi-disciplinary team: such as our doctors, specialist nurses, therapists and complementary therapists, should they require it.
By attending the clinic patients and their carers have an opportunity to meet and socialise with others who live with similar conditions and participate in social activities. We also provide information and guidance on various topics to help support patients and their loved ones.
