Take on the adrenaline rush of a lifetime with a tandem skydive from 13,000ft!

Taking the plunge in a tandem skydive is one of the most exhilarating experiences you could ever ask for. Nothing quite compares to the adrenaline rush you’ll feel during this incredibly experience, while also raising money for St. Michael’s Hospice.

Following a thorough safety brief and training from Army Parachute Association instructors, you will board the Cessna Caravan aircraft and fly to over 2 miles (13,000ft) high. Once strapped to your instructor, it’s time to jump! The feeling of free-falling through the sky is second to none and the stunning views across Wiltshire as you soar through the sky and parachute back to the ground will take your breath away.

The buzz felt can only be eclipsed by knowing how much of a difference your fundraising efforts are making. Fundraising in aid of St. Michael’s Hospice with your skydive allows us to continue providing our specialist care to people faced with life-limiting illness, their families and their carers, to ensure they attain the highest possible quality of life.

Are you ready to take the leap of a lifetime?

Can you do it? Yes you can!

If you are brave enough to take on a skydive and are over the age of 16, this challenge is for you!

Who pays for my skydive?

You will need to pay a £50 registration fee to confirm your jump in support of St. Michael’s Hospice. Once this is paid, you have two options:

  1. Pay the remaining cost (£175) of your jump on the day – anything you fundraise will then go to the Hospice.
  2. Pledge to fundraise a minimum of £300 before 1st May 2022 for the Hospice and we will pay the remaining cost of your jump.

What support will I get?

You will get ongoing support from your own designated Fundraising Co-ordinator, a t-shirt (to show everyone you’re a Hospice Flyer) and a sponsorship form.

On the day, you’ll receive training and a safety briefing from staff at the Army Parachuting Association and you’ll be harnessed to a professional parachute instructor who controls the free fall, parachute opening and landing.

Covid-19 information

In the event that we would need to take the decision to cancel this event due to COVID-19, you will be entitled to a full refund. Alternatively, if we are able to postpone the event, we will do so and your entry fee will be automatically transferred to the new date. However, if you are unable to make this new date, a refund option will also be available. Please note, that if you are unable to take part in the event due to COVID-19 illness or self-isolation, your entry fee will not be refundable. In this circumstance, you will have the option to transfer your place to a friend or family member, providing this is in line with the Government guidelines at that current time.

Sponsorship information

This year it will cost over £5.5 million to operate the Hospice and provide our services to the local community, with less than 20% funding from the North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group. We kindly ask all participants to try and collect a small amount of sponsorship to help us continue to provide our care for patients facing life limiting illness in the community. Here is how your contributions will help:

  • £5.60 is the cost of printing a special memory book for children who have lost someone at the Hospice.
  • £15 is the average cost of providing 3 meals, drinks, and snacks to a patient per day
  • £20 is the cost of 1 nurse for 1 hour
