Light Up A Life

I would like to add my star to the sky (launching Monday 16th September)

Held at St. Michael’s Hospice, this event gives individuals and families the opportunity to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one or someone special by dedicating a star as part of our Light up a Life appeal. Our special commemorative service offers time to reflect and share memories with those closest to us.

During the service you will be able to enjoy Christmas carols sung by Ooh Mama Ladies Choir. Whilst, enjoying a warm glass of mulled wine alongside delicious mince pies.

Our Light up a Life appeal and service is open to everyone, not just those who have been touched by our Hospice care. Please remember to wrap up warm if you plan to attend the service as we expect it to last around 40 minutes.

Limited parking will be available at Parklands (opposite the Hospice entrance), which is less than a 5-minute walk away from the event. We kindly ask you to consider car sharing or using public transport where possible to alleviate as much congestion around the site as possible.

***Please note, for dedications to be included in our order of service, we must have received them by Friday 22nd November.***

If you wish to dedicate a star in memory of a loved one or someone special this festive season, we will send you two stars. The first star will be for you to write the name of your loved one and place on your Christmas tree, mantelpiece or in a special place to you. If you were unable to attend the service, our memory boards will be on display throughout December in our Chapel and should you wish to add your second star to the board then you are welcome to visit at any time.

If you are unable to attend the service, we will be uploading our Order of Service the week after the event onto this page for you to view.
