St. Michael's Hospice 10km Run

A great way to get fit and raise vitals funds for St. Michael’s Hospice
Please join us and take part in our very first 10km sponsored run hosted by and in aid of St. Michael’s Hospice. On Sunday 3rd October we will ask runners from across North Hampshire to don their running shoes and join us in the Waterloo Meadow at Wellington Country Park. This course is a cross country style route round the beautiful grounds of Wellington Country Park and with your help and support at this event, we can raise £10,000 towards the £3 million needed to cover our annual running costs.
Time
The run will start at 9.30am therefore we ask runners to arrive from 8.30am to register and warm up will start at 9.15am. Please note that all participants must register before the day.
Route
The route is a 5km route which will be run twice round the Wellington Country Park grounds, it will consist of a Cross Country Style terrain so a sturdy pair of trainers are advisable!
Entry Fee
Entrance for this run only costs £15.00 per person and is open to all over the age of 15 years. Those participants who are under the age of 16 will require their parents/guardians permission.

Prizes for Top Fundraisers
Your entry fee covers the costs of staging the event however we ask that you try and raise as much sponsorship as possible. For those that raise the most sponsorship prizes shall be awarded for their efforts!
To qualify for a Top Fundraiser prize you must return your sponsorship money and sponsor form by Friday 14th January 2011.

***Please also ensure that your sponsors fill out the gift aid details- this is to ensure that we can claim 28p for every pound they sponsor you back from the government!***
Volunteers
We are also looking for volunteers to help marshall the course, set-up and pack down the event. If your partner or friend is taking why not volunteer to help whilst they are running round the course? If you are interested in volunteering then please complete the Volunteer Enquiry Form and we will get back to you with some more information.
Terms & Conditions
Runners must be over the age of 15 to take part; those under 16 years old
must have their parents/guardians permission to take part. This running event is across country style terrain so runners are cautioned to take care and look out for each other. Running can be a dangerous activity and the organisers cannot be held responsible for personal injury, accident, loss, damage or public liability. All runners will need to agree to the above terms and conditions and must be happy for photo's of them at the event to be used for promotional purposes of the event.
