Lead Nurse/Director Designate - Hospice at Home
Salary £32,000 – £38,000 Basingstoke based
This a new and exciting position offering a Registered General Nurse the opportunity to lead and develop the Hospice at Home Service. Palliative Care and or Managerial experience will be required. The successful candidate will possess the ability to inspire and lead the team in providing first class care and support to our patients in the home environment.
You should be able to demonstrate proven leadership and organisational skills, and have an empathy and understanding of multidisciplinary working.
High quality interpersonal skills are required, as this role forms part of the organisation’s operational and strategic senior clinical management team, reporting to the Director of Patient Services.
The demonstration of strategic leadership through service expansion will provide the evidence to support the post developing to Director of Hospice at Home Services.
St. Michael’s Hospice works in partnership with the North Hampshire Palliative Care Service and has well established links with both primary and acute care services. Professional development is actively encouraged and supported and we can offer transfer of NHS pension if appropriate.

We have a vacancy for Registered General Nurse to join a well established, motivated and supportive team in an expanding Unit where you will have time to deliver quality care in an environment that actively encourages and supports professional development.
Salary dependent on experience in Palliative Care. Post registration palliative care experience is essential and professional development is actively encouraged and supported.

Lottery Canvassers/Fundraisers

Volunteer Fundraising/Collections
We are looking for Volunteers who would be happy collect money on behalf of St. Michael's Hospice at given dates throughout the year, either within their local community, at the nearest supermarket or at Hospice-led events.
In addition, the Fundraising team is looking for 'Ambassadors' - individuals who would feel comfortable talking to groups or clubs about the work and ethos of St. Michael's Hospice. If you are interested in applying for a fundraising/collections role you can find out how to apply here.
St. Michael's Hospice Retail - Alton, South Ham and Hook
Volunteer Sales Assistants
Volunteers required for three of our charity shops. Previous experience is not necessary as full training is provided - would suit someone with a cheerful disposition, who is fairly active and enjoys working within a team.
Each shop has 2 shifts per day and are open 6 days a week, so if you think you could spare 4 hours either weekly or fortnightly you can find out how to apply here.
In-Patient Unit Volunteers, Daytime shifts
We are currently looking for volunteers to support our Nurse and Housekeeping Team on the In-Patient Unit. The role involves direct contact with patients and relatives, and would suit those with a compassionate and caring nature. Duties on the whole are fairly domestic but do include chatting to patients, taking meal orders and providing refreshments, assisting the housekeepers and running errands for the nursing team.
