‘Sizzling Summer’ Black Tie Ball Saturday 21st August 2010
Put your best Dresses and Tuxedos on and come along to the Sizzling Summer Ball taking place at Sandford Springs Golf Club on Saturday 21st August. Tickets are £55 and all proceeds will be shared between St. Michael’s Hospice and Emmaus, Winchester. House to House Throughout August 2010
House to House will be taking part in August for those who live in the Hart area. Can you spare a few hours to deliver donation envelopes through doors in your local area, and then collect them again a few days later? Country House Attic Car Boot Sale Monday 30th August
The St. Michael's Hospice are holding a Country House Attic Car Boot Sale on Monday 30th August at Herriard Park, Herriard on the A339 Basingstoke to Alton Road by kind permission of John and Sara Jervoise. The sale will be on from 9.30am to 2pm, selling cars are strictly by invitation and admission costs £2 for adults and children are free. There will be great value items from country homes and all proceeds will be going to St. Michael's Hospice.
Trek Mont Blanc 26 – 30 August 2010
The Chamonix valley is dominated by the white majestic dome of Mont Blanc. During the trek you will experience breathtaking scenery as the coming together of several glaciers has produced some of the most spectacular glacial structures you will ever experience, with deep crevasses and towering seracs. The trek is in the valleys surrounding Mont Blanc. Find out more information here.
Cycle London to Paris 3 – 6 September 2010
This long-weekend challenge links two great European cities, London and Paris and covers around 300km in just three days. The cycle is through undulating countryside towards the south coast, before crossing into France by ferry. From Dieppe the ride continue through sleepy Normandy villages with some challenging hills to conquer along the way, until you reach the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Midnight Walk Saturday 4th September 2010
The second Midnight walk takes place on 4th September. Last year saw an amazing 1100 walkers walk the 11 mile route around Basingstoke with a worthwhile breakfast waiting at the finish line. To secure your place for this year please register early to avoid disappointment. Registration is now open.
Basil de Ferranti Corporate Golf Day - Thursday 9th September 2010
Tee off in aid of St Michael’s Hospice at Weybrook Park Golf Club in Basingstoke. Our Basil de Ferranti Corporate Golf Day is open to companies and teams of 4 players. Entry includes Breakfast, Buffet Lunch and a chance to win some great prices. So enter a team, play a round of golf and all the while raise money for St. Michael’s Hospice! Skydive Saturday 18th September 2010
After the success of the St. Michael's skydive in September 2009 we have arranged new dates in June and September for those people who are brave enough to take a 10,000 feet freefall parachute jump to support their local Hospice. The Tim Clayton Charity Golf Day Friday 24th September 2010
Enjoy a game of golf in the North Hampshire countryside and take part in this Charity Golf day which is in its third year. Taking place at Sherfield Oaks Golf Club on the Waterloo Course, there will be a delicious bbq after the event followed by the prize giving and raffle. All proceeds to the Hospice. Kingsclere Coffee Morning Saturday 2nd October 2010
Josie Norton is hosting her wonderful Coffee Morning at Kingsclere Village Club from 10am to 2pm. There will be a St. Michael’s Hospice Stall with St. Michael’s Hospice Christmas Cards, Plant Stall, Phoenix Cards, Candles, Jewellery, Home Made Cakes Stall, local organic veg stall and a Tombola. Entry is £2 which includes a cup of Tea or Coffee and a biscuit.
10KM Cross Country Run Sunday 3rd October 2010
We are inviting both professional and amateur runners to take part in our forth coming 10k sponsored run! This will be taking place on Sunday 3rd October starting at 9.30am in Wellington Country Park, Riseley. Entry fee for this event is priced at £15.00 per person and we ask all participants to raise as much sponsorship as possible. Light Up the Hospice Sunday 5th December 2010
This special evening, held in the grounds of St. Michael’s Hospice, brings together people from across North Hampshire for a moving and uplifting service featuring the Basingstoke Silver Band, with carols, music, and readings by staff, volunteers and families who have experienced the quality of care at the Hospice. Climb Kilimanjaro- 17th-27th March 2011
The largest mountain in Africa is the ultimate in challenge for thrill seekers who wish to test themselves all the while raising funds for St. Michael’s Hospice. Your trip will begin in the flora and farmland that surround this peak. Then you will begin your climb upwards, trekking high above the cloud bank and up the lunar like landscape. Your final decent to the top of the peak will begin in the dark so you reach the summit in time to watch the sunrise and celebrate your success. Cycle London to Paris – 24th-27th June 2011
Start the day in the South-East corner of our great capital where you will cycle to the coast of the British Isles. Crossing the channel by ferry to the French coast where you will start cycling through the sleepy picturesque French villages. The route will take you through the North of France riding down until you ride round the French Capital, taking in the sights before finishing under the infamous Eiffel Tower. This challenge is for those that really wish to experience the feeling of accomplishment and all the while raising funds for St. Michael’s Hospice. Trek the Great Wall of China- 8th-16th October 2011
China is a hugely diverse and dynamic Country and this challenge event will enable you to see one of the most extraordinary man-made structures on earth. The Great Wall of China lengthily structure stretches for miles across the country and you will be able to walk some of the oldest parts of the wall; all lead by local guides. Whilst on your trek you will stay in beautiful traditional Chinese taverns and eat delicious local cuisine. Your journey finishes in the Chinese capital, Beijing where you will have free time to explore the delights of this magnificent city.
