Tea at 3 Throughout June
The Hospice encourages the community of North Hampshire to hold afternoon tea parties throughout June. Why not hold a ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’, have lots of fun and raise funds for St. Michael’s Hospice. For further details or ideas please visit the Tea at 3 page.
House to House Throughout June
House to House will be taking place in June for those who live in the Basingstoke and Deane area and the Alton area. Can you spare a few hours to deliver donation envelopes through doors in your local area, and then collect them again a few days later? For more information visit the House to House page.
Chineham Park Festival 4th July 2009
Come and watch various performers of different genres performing throughout the day from a jazz band to rock and indie music. Also available throughout the day are a small beer tent, hot food, raffle, tombola and lots more. Support St. Michael’s Hospice stall which will have games and promotional material about the Hospice and our up and coming events.
Ramsdell Village Fete 11th July 2009
The Firs, in Ramsdell once again welcome Ramsdell Village Fete. Come along from 2pm, entry is £2 with free parking available. One third of proceeds will be donated to St. Michael’s Hospice. Come and support the St. Michael’s Hospice stall which will have games and promotional material about the Hospice and our up and coming events.
Raj–Charity Eat as much as you like night 12th July 5.30 - Midnight
£12.95 for a set meal which includes Indian Ice Cream. Live musical entertainment from Keith Powell. Table bookings only (4 or more people per booking) please call 01256 818450 or 819246. Profits from the meal will be split between St. Michael’s Hospice (North Hampshire) and M A Orphanage in Bangladesh.
Big Wheel 26th July 2009
The Hospice’s 15th Big Wheel bike ride sets off on 26 July at Down Grange. Three exciting 'new' courses will take cyclists through the North Hampshire countryside, with refreshments and entertainment on offer for participants and supporters on the site. Terry’s Cup 1st August 2009
The 3rd Annual Fishing Match in honour of Terry Dobbie at Bowsaw Lake 9am til 5pm (matches 10 – 4pm, pegs drawn at 8.45). Price is £20 per person, lunch included.. Midnight Walk 5th September 2009

Hospice Parachute Jump 26th September 2009
Join a group of upto 15 people all jumping to support St. Michael's Hospice at an airfield near Bicester. 10,000 feet freefall parachute jump harnessed to a parachute instructor at all times! All you need to do is raise a minimum of £395 in sponsorship and you can do the parachute jump for FREE! Interested? Join Hospices around the World and ‘Discover your Voice’ for World Hospice and Palliative Care Day’. Trek the Great Wall of China 10 – 18 October 2009
China leaves a lasting impression on all who go there. It is a country immersed in history, mythology and ancient traditions. This huge mass of land has the largest population on Earth. The trek takes you along sections of the Great Wall, one of the world’s most fascinating and important archaeological finds and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Find out more information here.
Spooktakular Walk 31 October 2009
Help us to keep Trick or Treat off the street and come and join us for a Spooktacular walk at the War Memorial Park. Walk around the 0.7 mile circuit collecting spooky gifts along the way. Fun and entertainment for all the family including refreshments, stalls and a Fun fair for when the walk is complete. Light Up the Hospice 6 December 2009
This special evening, held in the grounds of St. Michael’s Hospice, brings together people from across North Hampshire for a moving and uplifting service featuring the Basingstoke Silver Band, with carols, music, and readings by staff, volunteers and families who have experienced the quality of care at the Hospice. If you would like to sponsor a light for someone special, and help illuminate the grounds of St. Michael’s Hospice please contact the Fundraising team on 01256 848848 from October onwards.
Cycle London to Paris 17 – 20 June 2010
This long-weekend challenge links two great European cities, London and Paris and covers around 300km in just three days. The cycle is through undulating countryside towards the south coast, before crossing into France by ferry. From Dieppe the ride continue through sleepy Normandy villages with some challenging hills to conquer along the way, until you reach the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Free time to explore this beautiful city before taking the Eurostar home. Find out more information here.

During the trek you will experience breathtaking scenery as the coming together of several glaciers has produced some of the most spectacular glacial structures you will ever experience, with deep crevasses and towering seracs.
